White Sox expand fan sections with 'Shark Cage'

The Chicago White Sox welcome starter Jeff Samardzija to the mound at U.S. Cellular Field this season with the "Shark Cage" in Sections 154 and 155 - a total of more than 930 seats.

When Samardzija starts at home, fans with tickets in "Shark Cage" sections will receive a free "Shark Cage" cap and fin-shaped strikeout card. Tickets for this section are $20 for most games, with the exception of Family Sundays when the tickets are $15 and Crosstown Cup games (subject to availability). 

"White Sox fans really loved the 'K Zone For Sale' last season," said Brooks Boyer, White Sox senior vice president of sales and marketing. "With the excitement around the season and Jeff's nickname as 'Shark', it's only natural that we offer an opportunity for fans to rally around his starts."

This is in addition to the continuation of the "K Zone For Sale" promotion for all of ace Chris Sale's starts at home, offering fans with tickets in these same sections a free K Zone T-shirt (sizes XL, medium and youth) and strikeout card. Items for both promotions can be picked up on respective game days outside of the #SoxSocial Lounge before the end of the first inning. 

Details for these promotions and the starters' start dates will be posted on whitesox.com/sharkcage and whitesox.com/kzone as they become available. Tickets to White Sox games are available at whitesox.com, the U.S. Cellular Field ticket office and through Ticketmaster.
