Royals bring back Play It Forward contest

Bracket-style contest allows fans to choose Kauffman Stadium's sixth inning song

KANSAS CITY, MO (March 30, 2015) - The Kansas City Royals are asking fans once again to help select the sixth inning sing-along song at Kauffman Stadium through the Play It Forward contest, presented by the Missouri Lottery.

Sixteen popular tracks that received the highest vote totals last season have been selected for the bracket-style contest. During each home game beginning with Opening Day on Monday, April 6 and running through Wednesday, May 6, fans will be able to text to vote for one of two songs featured each game.

The two songs for each particular game, as well as instructions on how to vote, will be announced during pregame. Please note that fans must be in the ballpark to vote and will be limited to one vote per game. The winning song for each game will be played in the middle of the sixth inning and will advance to the next round until the winning song is revealed on May 6. Fans can follow the progress at www.royals.com/playitforward.

The winning song of the Play It Forward contest presented by the Missouri Lottery will then be played during the sixth inning of each remaining 2015 home game.
