Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN - The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have placed left-handed pitcher Brian Duensing on the disabled list with a right intercostal strain. Duensing suffered the injury in yesterday's game against Kansas City in the ninth inning.

To replace Duensing on the 25-man roster, the Twins have recalled left-handed pitcher Caleb Thielbar from Triple-A Rochester. Thielbar went 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA (2.1 IP) in three relief appearances this season for Triple-A Rochester. The 28-year-old made 103 relief appearances over the past two seasons with the Twins, posting a 5-3 record with a 2.59 ERA (93.2 IP, 27 ER), 30 walks and 74 strikeouts.

Thielbar (#56) will be in uniform and available for tonight's game vs. Cleveland.
