Dodgers recall Adam Liberatore
LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Dodgers today recalled left-handed pitcher Adam Liberatore from Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Liberatore, who is making his first-career appearance on an active Major League roster, appeared in two games for the Oklahoma City Dodgers and last pitched on Monday, when he earned the save after tossing a scoreless ninth with two strikeouts. The 27-year-old was acquired from Tampa Bay along with Joel Peralta on Nov. 20, 2014 and was terrific during the Cactus League season, firing 10.1 scoreless innings with nine strikeouts in 11 games. He spent the 2014 season with the Rays' Triple-A Durham, where he posted a 6-1 record with four saves and a 1.66 ERA in 54 appearances.
The Bellflower native was originally selected by Tampa Bay in the 21st round of the 2010 First-Year Player Draft out of Tennessee Technological University.
