Marlins to host Washington Nationals, New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies for nine-game homestand

The Miami Marlins begin their second homestand on Friday, April 24, with a three-game weekend series against the Washington Nationals. Then the Marlins will host the New York Mets for a three-game set, beginning on Monday, April 27. Following an off-day on Thursday, the Marlins wrap up the homestand with a three-game, weekend set against the Philadelphia Phillies.

This homestand features two fan giveaways as the first 10,000 fans will receive a Christian Yelich Replica Gold Glove Trophy courtesy of Pepsi on Sunday, April 26, and the first 5,000 kids, ages 12 and under, will receive a Bob The Shark Plush Doll courtesy of Avianca Airlines on Sunday, May 3.

During the first weekend of the homestand, the Marlins will celebrate Mardi Gras Night (April 24), Fellowship Day (April 25), Jackie Robinson Day (April 25) and Autism Awareness Day (April 26). Mardi Gras Night is the second Friday theme night at Marlins Park this season, and fans who purchase the VIP special event package will receive a Marlins Mardi Gras mask among many themed giveaways. Fans are also invited to join the Marlins in celebrating Fellowship Day on Saturday, April 25. Fans who purchase the VIP special event package will receive a game ticket, access to postgame fellowship event hosted by team chaplain Chris Lane, opportunity to engage with Marlins players as they give their testimonies and discuss their devotion to faith and the community, and a live postgame concert by Reach Records recording artist KB.

The second weekend of the homestand features Superheroes Night (May 1) and a postgame concert by Jake Miller (May 2), the first of the 2015 Saturday Spectacular Summer Concert Series. The VIP package for Superheroes Night includes a Marlins comic book. Then Jake Miller will open the concert series on May 2; the Miami-born pop artist was one of MTV's 2014 "Ones to Watch" artists. Miller has independently released two EP's: 2012's "Spotlight" and 2013's "The Road Less Traveled," which debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes Hip-Hop chart. His full-length album, 2013's "Us Against Them," sold over 33,000 copies and peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard Rap chart.

The Marlins will also recognize two of their 2015 Marlins Charity Partners during the homestand, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Miami on Friday, April 24, and Special Olympics Florida - Miami-Dade on Friday, May 1. Each Charity Partner will be recognized on their Charity Partner Night, where they receive a portion of the proceeds from the theme nights, 50/50 raffle and a silent auction held on their respective day.
