Pirates Charities, Manager Clint Hurdle and ROOT SPORTS announce return of 'Wins for Kids' campaign
Pirates Charities, the official philanthropic arm of the Pittsburgh Pirates, along with Pirates Manager Clint Hurdle and his wife, Karla, in partnership with ROOT SPORTS™ announced the return of the "Wins for Kids"
fundraising campaign for the 2015 season. This marks the fifth season for the program which is focused on raising funds for Pirates Charities and The Children's Institute of Pittsburgh's Center for Prader-Willi Syndrome through donations from fans and supporters.
This season the Pirates and ROOT SPORTS are encouraging fans to contribute to the Wins for Kids program and receive a variety of exciting incentives. All monies raised will benefit Pirates Charities and The Children's Institute of Pittsburgh's Center for Prader-Willi Syndrome. To support the program with a donation, fans can visit pirates.com/winsforkids.
Throughout the 2015 season, donors who contribute a minimum of $30 will receive a specially designed Clint Hurdle Wins for Kids cap. Donors can also receive:
- Donation of $1 for every Pirates win during the 2015 regular season = Specially-designed Clint Hurdle Wins for Kids cap and an autographed Clint Hurdle baseball.
- Donation of $5 for every Pirates win during the 2015 regular season = Speciallydesigned Wins for Kids cap, autographed Clint Hurdle baseball and autographed bat of your choice from a current Pirates player or coach*.
- One-time donation of $1,000 or more = Specially-designed Wins for Kids cap, autographed Clint Hurdle baseball, autographed bat of your choice from a current Pirates player or coach*, AND a meet-and-greet with Clint Hurdle prior to a 2016 Pirates game at PNC Park.
*Player/Coach selections are subject to availability.
Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) is a rare, complex generic disorder that affects many parts of the body and the Children's Institute of Pittsburgh is the world's only comprehensive, hospital-based inpatient program for the treatment of both children and adults.
