A's Trade RHP Chad Smith to Los Angeles Angels for Cash Considerations

OAKLAND, Calif. - The Oakland A's have traded right-handed pitcher Chad Smith to the Los Angeles Angels in exchange for cash considerations, the team announced today.

Smith was designated for assignment yesterday after allowing five runs in 1.1 innings over two relief appearances for the A's. He was 1-1 with two saves and a 2.31 ERA in eight relief appearances for Triple-A Nashville.
