ShopRite is a proud sponsor of the Phillies and a longtime friend to Philabundance, the largest hunger relief organization in the Delaware Valley. Through its ShopRite Partners In Caring program, ShopRite donates more than $3 million annually to food banks, such as Philabundance, throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Delaware and Maryland.

ShopRite is also one of the many Phillies partners taking part in the Phans Feeding Families summer-long initiative, aimed to help raise money and collect food to feed the nearly one million people in the Delaware Valley that are at risk of hunger each year. This year's food drive will mark the first of many Phans Feeding Families events for the 2014 season. For more information, please visit www.phillies.com/feedingfamilies.

"We are honored to once again partner with the Phillies to collect food donations that will help keep the food bank stocked," said Christine Magyarits, spokeswoman for ShopRite Partners In Caring. "Through ShopRite Partners In Caring, ShopRite has donated more than $2 million to Philabundance since the program began in 1999 and events like these help us raise awareness of the issue of hunger in our community."

"We are so grateful to ShopRite for its partnership, generosity and support to help us hit hunger out of the park through initiatives such as Phans Feeding Families. This is the fifth year of this important food drive that helps feed our neighbors - and their children - in need," said Susan Fink, Chief Development Officer of Philabundance. "Like other food banks across the country, Philabundance is experiencing a food shortage. And, unfortunately, the summer brings even higher demand as more than 300,000 children in the Delaware Valley rely on school meals, which is why ShopRite's efforts are more important than ever."
