#DbacksSocial Media Night to take place June 30

PHOENIX - The Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks @LosDbacks) announced details for their annual #DbacksSocial Media Night, which will take place on June 30 at Chase Field. Fans can take part in the unique event with a special $22 lower-level Baseline Reserve ticket using the offer code SMDAY15, with each attendee receiving a free @Dbacks Emoji t-shirt.

Fans attending #DbacksSocial Media Night will get early ballpark access to watch batting practice and take part in a private pregame party in the Coors Light Strike Zone which will include drink specials, appearances by current and former D-backs players, games and prizes.

As part of the annual event, eight fans will win the opportunity to take the field with the D-backs and take a selfie with one of the starting position players. Fans in attendance will also be able to submit song requests to be played in stadium through the first-ever #DbacksJukeBox and participate in a #DbacksEats contest where they can win free food items by tweeting their seat location.

#DbacksSocial Media Night is scheduled to coincide with the sixth annual international Social Media Day (#SMDay), a global celebration created by Mashable that "highlights contributions made by developed and social media enthusiasts alike."

The team recently surpassed 200,000 followers on its @Dbacks Twitter account, making it one of the most influential accounts in the state of Arizona. The team's official Instagram account (@Dbacks) topped 100,000 followers earlier this year and the club's Facebook page has nearly 650,000 fans. Last year, the team launched its official Snapchat account and each platform has seen significant growth, with Twitter growing 52 percent, Instagram growing 83 percent and Facebook growing 22 percent over the past 12 months.

The team has also led the way in Spanish-language social media as the official account, @LosDbacks, has more followers than several other MLB teams in major Hispanic markets including @LosDodgers, @LosAstros and @LosPadres. Earlier this year, the team became the first Major League franchise to launch an Instagram account in Spanish (@Los_Dbacks).
