White Sox become first Chicago sports team to partner with Old Dominion Freight

Multi-Year Agreement Includes In-Park Signage and Day-of-Game Presence

CHICAGO - The Chicago White Sox have reached a multi-year partnership agreement with Old Dominion Freight Line, marking its first partnership with a professional sports team in the Chicago market.

The partnership includes on-site activation rights for 30 games this season, allowing the company to interact with fans in U.S. Cellular Field's Gate 5 plaza. These activations include Old Dominion brand representatives, a tractor/trailer setup and a tent with activities and giveaways.

"We are very excited to welcome Old Dominion Freight Line to the Chicago White Sox family of corporate partners," said Brooks Boyer, White Sox senior vice president of sales and marketing. "Old Dominion has been helping the world keep promises for 80 years by serving its customers, just as the White Sox have a storied history of striving to deliver a winning team and ballpark experience for our fans. We hope our fans will find Old Dominion's services just as convenient and useful as we do."

Old Dominion also will receive prominent brand exposure during game broadcasts with home plate and first base rotational signage at U.S. Cellular Field. In addition, the partnership offers White Sox fans the opportunity to save $50 on their residential household move by visiting ODmove.com/whitesox.

"OD is excited for the opportunities that lie within its Chicago White Sox partnership," said David Carter, Old Dominion vice president of marketing and communications. "This partnership will help us share our premium service with prospects and continue to deliver promises with our current customers in the Chicago area."

This partnership continues Old Dominion's commitment to supporting Major League Baseball. The shipping company adds the White Sox to its roster of several partnerships with MLB clubs.
