Military members to enjoy special tickets and pricing

BOSTON, MA - The Red Sox previously announced that active-duty, retired, and veteran service members will receive special pricing on tickets to games at Fenway Park. The club will also continue the popular "Tickets for Troops" program today, June 25, which gives fans the opportunity to donate their tickets to members of the United States Armed Forces for a select game. Tickets for Troops is presented by Bank of America.  

Season Ticket Holders have been donating their tickets online through their My Tickets accounts. Fans donating their tickets can also call the Red Sox ticket office at (877) RED-SOX9 or visit the Fenway Park box office.  

The club works with the Department of Defense to distribute tickets to all branches of the United States Armed Forces serving in military installations throughout New England. Donated tickets are also given to the Red Sox Foundation's Home Base Program, which treats veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan who suffer from traumatic brain injury and post-combat stress disorders.

In 2014, more than 1400 tickets were donated by season ticket holders, players, and Red Sox front office personnel.

For the majority of remaining games this season, veterans and active military members can also visit www.redsox.com/military to purchase specially-priced tickets in partnership with GovX.com, which verifies proof of service.

Today's game against the Orioles (starting at 1:35 p.m.) provides an unusual opportunity for fans who find midweek day games more convenient and nostalgic.

The "Express Your Thanks" campaign serves as an extension of that commitment by encouraging individuals to share expressions of gratitude to current and former members of the military. Each expression until December 31, 2015, results in a $1 donation to the Wounded Warrior Project to support hiring, education & wellness programming that help service members of and veterans succeed here at home.
