Atlanta Braves Homestand Highlights -- Friday, July 17-Wednesday, July 22

  •          Operation Grace White Foundation: Atlanta Braves pitcher Jim Johnson and his wife Elizabeth are hosting Grace White and her family for a day at the ballpark. Grace White is a 6-year-old girl recently diagnosed with DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma), a rare and inoperable brain tumor. The foundation's goal is to fund research for DIPG, increase awareness, and provide financial assistance to families affected by DIPG. Braves pitcher Jim Johnson is seeking to use his platform to raise funds and awareness for DIPG. The White Family will be joining Jim during batting practice on Friday.
  •          Braves Wives host online & in-park auction to benefit the Operation Grace White Foundation: The Braves Wives will host a special auction featuring items from Braves players. On July 17, fans can bid on game used bats, gloves, and cleats from the time gates open until the end of the 4th inning at the Braves Community Clubhouse in Fan Plaza. All proceeds will benefit the Operation Grace White Foundation, an organization that focuses on increasing awareness of DIPG, a type of children's brain cancer. Fans can continue to support this charity through an online auction that ends on Wednesday, July 22, at www.Braves.com/charityauctions.
  •          Youth Baseball Classic: The 7th Annual Atlanta Braves Youth Baseball Classic presented by Bank of America will take place from July 17-19 at Wills Park in Alpharetta, Georgia. The tournament brings together youth baseball teams from across the Southeast to compete in a round-robin style competition. On Saturday, July 18, from 12:15-1:15 p.m., Braves pitcher Matt Wisler will throw out the first pitch during the Welcome Ceremony and pose for pictures with all team participants.
  •          Friday Night Fireworks presented by Georgia Lottery: Fans will be treated to a dazzling display of fireworks over Turner Field following every Friday home game throughout the season.

  •          Band of the Year: Ricky Gunn's debut album, King of this Town, mixes old-school country influences with modern-day firepower, creating a sound that twangs and rocks in equal measure. This band was selected to participate in a season-long competition, and following the 2015 season, one band will be named the "Atlanta Braves Band of the Year."
  •          Mother/Son Day: Make it a mother and son outing on Saturday, July 18, as the Braves take on the Cubs. The tournament brings together youth baseball teams from across the Southeast to compete in a round-robin style competition. Teams that have qualified for the championship games in their respective age group will compete for the coveted Tomahawk Trophy.

  •          Braves Wives Toy Drive: The Braves Wives will collect new and unwrapped toys in Monument Grove from the time gates open until the end of the first inning.
