Tigers host Orioles and Mariners in seven-game homestand at Comerica Park

DETROIT - The Tigers host the Baltimore Orioles for a three-game weekend series (July 17-19) and will finish up the homestand with a four-game series against the Seattle Mariners (July 20-23). The games on Friday, Saturday and Monday through Wednesday are scheduled for 7:08 p.m., while Thursday and Sunday's games start at 1:08 p.m.

Short detours will be posted to steer pedestrians around curb work in front of the Fox.

Friday, July 17 vs. Baltimore Orioles at 7:08 p.m. Gates Open at 5:30 p.m.
·  Country Night: Don't forget to bring your cowboy boots and hat and saddle up for a country-filled night at the Tigers game. There will be live entertainment throughout the concourse featuring national recording artist Jackie Lee in the Big Cat Court, Detroit native Paulina Jayne at Gate B, and Mount Pleasant's Still Thinking Band will perform on the FOX Sports Detroit Stage outside the Brushfire Grill prior to the 7:08 p.m. start. Along with the performers, there will be a mechanical bull in the Big Cat Court, a giant sized bull to greet fans outside of Gate A and country karaoke will be available at the New Amsterdam 416 Bar.
·  Detroit Tigers Foundation 50/50 Raffle: The Detroit Tigers Foundation 50/50 Charity Raffle continues at Comerica Park this season. This weekend, the raffle will happen on Friday and Saturday. The partner charity for this weekend's 50/50 raffle is the American Diabetes Association. The mission of the American Diabetes Association is to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes. · The game ball will be delivered by Captain Ryan Stec of the United States Air Force from Novi, MI. Captain Stec has deployed twice with his first tour in the Horn of Africa and most recently returning from deployment in Southwest Asia supporting Operation Inherent Resolve, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Freedom Sentinel. He has been awarded the Air Medal, Aerial Achievement Medal, and the 9th Air Force Flight Safety Award. He has proudly served the United States Air Force for six years.

For each of his home starts, Verlander hosts Veterans from Veterans Affairs Medical Centers throughout the state of Michigan. These Veterans sustained injuries or illness in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom or in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom. The Veterans along with their families cheer on the Tigers from the comfort of Verlander's personal luxury suite.   MVP (Military Veteran's Program): Mario Impemba's salute to those who served. Through the program, Mario invites those who served and the families impacted by the service of a loved one in support of our nation to attend Monday home games at Comerica Park. The group of 30 Veterans and guests receive a lower-bowl ticket to the Tigers game, a "MVP" t-shirt, a voucher for a BBQ dinner and an autographed photo of Tigers broadcaster Mario Impemba. The Veterans and guests arrive to the ballpark in style in the FOX Sports Detroit Fan Express. On July 20, the Tigers partner with Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 125 from Howell, Michigan.  

· The first 10,000 fans will receive a David Price Bobblehead, sponsored by BallPark.
· The game ball will be delivered by Chief Warrant Officer 2 Joshua Hentkowski of the United States Army from Posen, MI. CW2 Hentkowski has served deployments in Kosovo, Iraq, and Afghanistan. He has been awarded two Bronze Stars, ten Army Commendation Medals, two Army Achievement Medals, a Combat Action Badge, and eight Combat Service Stripes. He has proudly served the United States Army for 19 years.

Tuesday, July 21 vs. Seattle Mariners at 7:08 p.m. Gates Open at 5:30 p.m.
·  Christmas In July: Why wait until December to celebrate the holiday season? Christmas in July, sponsored by the Parade Company, returns to Comerica Park on Tuesday. Santa Claus will pose for pictures at Gate A with fans and participate in the "Prance Around the Park" pre-game on-field parade featuring 250 Salvation Army Day Campers, the Detroit Tigers Kids Club Grand Marshall and The Grinch and Cirque Dreams Holidaze performers, who will also be appearing on the concourse prior to the 7:08 p.m. start. Musical entertainment for the special occasion includes Christmas music throughout the ballpark, The Salvation Army Brass Bands and Bell Choir and Vincent York's Jazzistry. Salvation Army Red Kettles will be located at all entrances to the ballpark so fans can help celebrate the season of giving.
Sanchez's Little Smiles: Through the generosity of Tigers pitcher Anibal Sanchez and his wife Ana, the Sanchez family invites 19 guests to attend a Tigers baseball game in a grand fashion. The special evening includes tickets to the Sanchez Family's challenges of caring for children with health concerns and other adversities. Sanchez's Little Smiles provides families the opportunity to escape their daily struggles and enjoy an evening together while watching Tigers baseball at Comerica Park. On July 21, families from Variety, the Children's Charity attend the game through Sanchez's Little Smiles. The guests of Sanchez's Little Smiles have the opportunity to watch batting practice from the field and meet Anibal Sanchez.
·  Kinsler's Kids: Through the program, the Kinsler family hosts 90 guests in partnership with The Birthday Party Project, which brings joy to homeless children through the magic of birthdays. During the summer months, The Birthday Party Project will celebrate its monthly birthday parties at Comerica Park with all the bells and whistles. All guests are treated to a Detroit Tigers game, receive ballpark fare dinner, a cupcake and a Kinsler's Kids t-shirt. The children celebrating their birthdays that month also receive a personalized authentic Detroit Tigers jersey and an autographed photo signed by Ian Kinsler. The children and families are selected by The Birthday Party Project in conjunction with Coalition on Temporary Shelter (COTS).

·  TRUEMU Night: The Detroit Tigers along with FOX Sports Detroit are hosting the second installment of their University Days series at Comerica Park. EMU cheerleaders and dance team will provide on-field pregame entertainment along with a performance from the EMU dance team before the game. The cheerleaders and dance team members will accompany the DTE Energy Squad during the seventh inning stretch. The night will also feature a special appearance by Swoop, EMU's mascot. All fans who purchased the TRUEMU ticket package will receive a Detroit Tigers baseball hat in EMU colors.
· The first 10,000 fans will receive a "Rally Time" Floppy Hat, courtesy of National Coney Island.
