OF Gerardo Parra reports to the Orioles; INF Chris Parmelee designated for assignment
The Orioles today announced that OF GERARDO PARRA has reported to the club and INF CHRIS PARMELEE has been designated for assignment.
Parra was acquired earlier today via trade from the Milwaukee Brewers. He will wear No. 18. Should Parra be the next player to make his Orioles debut, he would be the 1000th player to appear in a game for the Orioles in franchise history.
Parmelee, 27, batted .216/.255/.433 (21-97) with four home runs and nine RBI in 32 games with the Orioles this season.
