Tigers Take on Indians and Rays in Six-Game Homestand at Comerica Park

DETROIT - The Tigers host the Cleveland Indians in a weekend series (September 4-6) and the Tampa Bay Rays (September 7-9). The games on Friday, Saturday, Tuesday and Wednesday are scheduled for 7:08 p.m., while Sunday and Monday's games start at 1:08 p.m.

GLOVES FOR KIDS "WEEKEND OF GIVING" SEPTEMBER 4-6:

• The Detroit Tigers in partnership with the Baseball Tomorrow Fund, FOX Sports Detroit and 97.1 The Ticket will be accepting donations of new and gently used baseball or softball equipment through the Gloves for Kids program. This year marks the 11th year the Tigers have participated in the Gloves for Kids program and the third annual "Weekend of Giving" held at Comerica Park. Over the past 10 years, the Tigers have collected nearly 21,000 pieces of baseball and softball equipment to provide to Detroit's youth.
• Collection bins will be located at Gate A outside The D Shop. Donations will be accepted two hours prior to game time through the 2nd inning. All equipment donations will benefit youth leagues in Michigan. The donations will provide Detroit's youth with the proper sporting equipment to participate in organized baseball and softball. (Game ticket not necessary to donate items).

• Oakland University Night: The Detroit Tigers along with FOX Sports Detroit are hosting the fourth installment of their University Days series at Comerica Park. Oakland cheerleaders will provide on-field pregame entertainment along with a performance from the Oakland dance team before the game. The cheerleaders and dance team members will accompany the DTE Energy Squad during the seventh inning stretch. All fans who purchased the Oakland University Days ticket package will receive a Detroit Tigers baseball hat in Oakland colors and a donation will be made to the Oakland University General Scholarship Fund. (This package is sold out).
• Detroit Tigers Foundation 50/50 Raffle: The Detroit Tigers Foundation 50/50 Charity Raffle continues at Comerica Park this season. This weekend, the raffle will happen on Friday and Saturday. The partner charity for this weekend's 50/50 raffle is Friends of Camp Mak-a-Dream, Michigan Chapter. The mission of Friends of Camp Mak-A-Dream, Michigan Chapter is to support the mission and goals of Camp Mak-A-Dream in Montana by providing strategic, financial and marketing support for specifically chosen projects that will further the growth and advancement of Camp Mak-A-Dream, a cost-free camp program for children and young adults with cancer. The Michigan Chapter provides a cost-free camp experience and often times cost-free transportation for Michigan residents to attend the camp. Each year campers are recruited from across the state of Michigan. Tickets will be sold on a digital platform and are three for $5, 10 for $10 and 40 for $20. The winner will be announced on the Comerica Park scoreboard before the end of the game. The 50/50 Charity Raffle program has raised more than $1,062,524.50 for charity with the single largest one-game prize of the program being $17,039.50.
• Tom Gage Hall of Fame Ceremony: The Detroit Tigers will honor 2015 J.G. Taylor Spink Award winner and National Baseball Hall of Fame inductee Tom Gage in an on-field pregame ceremony on Friday. Gage is a former Detroit Tigers beat reporter for the Detroit News and FOXSportsDetroit.com of 36 years.
• The ceremonial first pitches will be thrown by Rahil Sanghvi, representing Bank of America, Tigers Fan Chas Helnick and Secretary of State and Oakland University Alumna, Ruth Johnson.
• The national anthem will be performed by vocalist and Oakland University Alumni Steve Acho.
• Dunkin Donuts Exit Giveaway: Upon exit, Dunkin Donut mugs will be distributed at all gates.

• Verlander's Victory for Veterans: This season, for each Saturday home game, Verlander hosts Veterans from Veterans Affairs Medical Centers throughout the state of Michigan. These Veterans sustained injuries or illness in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom or in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom. The Veterans along with their families cheer on the Tigers from the comfort of Verlander's personal luxury suite. After serving our country, the special day provides American veterans the opportunity to enjoy a Tigers game with their family. Veterans share 18 luxury suite tickets and parking passes in the Tigers Parking Garage. Food and beverage is provided for the guests courtesy of Verlander. • The national anthem and God Bless America will be performed by vocalist Jenna Elsenheimer.
• All Sunday home games are Kids Days at Comerica Park. All kids 14-and-under will receive a free promotional item as part of the "Every Kid, Every Sunday" giveaway guarantee, enjoy free rides courtesy of Kroger on the Comerica Bank Carousel or the Fly Ball Ferris Wheel, take part in free face painting, have the chance to win a bicycle and are invited down to the field for Kids Run the Bases courtesy of Aquafina and Meijer following the game, weather permitting.

Monday, September 7 vs. Tampa Bay Rays at 1:08 p.m. Gates Open at 11:30 a.m.

• Grandparents Day: A special ticket package includes a game ticket and a 2015 limited edition Grandparents Day t-shirt. The first 500 ticket package purchasers will have the opportunity to participate in a pregame on-field stroll around the field. Before the game there will be activities located throughout the concourse for fans and grandparents to enjoy. The Detroit Tigers Party Patrol will host interactive games for fans of all ages in the Big Cat Court. Fans can create lifetime memories with their grandparents or grandchildren in the Grandparents Day photo booth near section 119. There will be face painters and The Reflections, singers of the 1964 hit song "(Just like) Romeo and Juliet", will perform from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. near Gate B on the concourse.
• MVP (Military Veteran's Program): Mario Impemba's salute to those who served. Through the program, Mario invites those who served and the families impacted by the service of a loved one in support of our nation to attend Monday home games at Comerica Park. The group of 30 Veterans and guests receive a lower-bowl ticket to the Tigers game, a "MVP" t-shirt, a voucher for a BBQ dinner and an autographed photo of Tigers broadcaster Mario Impemba. The Veterans and guests arrive to the ballpark in style in the FOX Sports Detroit Fan Express. On September 7, the Tigers partner with WWII Submarine Veterans - Escolar Base Chapter from Warren, Michigan
• The ceremonial first pitches will be thrown by Tigers Fan Jeannie Harris, Fred Bartolomei, representing CATCH and as a part of Grandparents day, 103-year-old Tigers Fan Mary Weider (grandmother of 10, great-grandmother of 18 and great-great grandmother of five).
• The national anthem will be performed by vocalist Sarah Gunter.
• God Bless America will be performed by 92-year-old Harold Lanning (grandfather of 10; great-grandfather of 14).

Tuesday, September 8 vs. Tampa Bay Rays at 7:08 p.m. Gates Open at 5:30 p.m.

• Wayne State University Night: The Detroit Tigers along with FOX Sports Detroit are hosting the fifth installment of their University Days series at Comerica Park. Wayne State cheerleaders will provide on-field pregame entertainment. The Wayne State cheerleaders and dance team will accompany the DTE Energy Squad during the seventh inning stretch. All fans who purchased the Wayne State University Days ticket package will receive a Detroit Tigers baseball hat in Wayne State colors and a donation will be made to the Wayne State University General Scholarship Fund.
• Sanchez's Little Smiles: Through the generosity of Tigers pitcher Anibal Sanchez and his wife Ana, the Sanchez family invites 19 guests to attend a Tigers baseball game in a grand fashion. The special evening includes tickets to the Sanchez Family's suite, Sanchez's Little Smiles t-shirts, ballpark fare catering and an autographed photo signed by Anibal Sanchez. The participating families are selected in partnership with local charitable organizations focused on serving the needs of families faced with the challenges of caring for children with health concerns and other adversities. Sanchez's Little Smiles provides families the opportunity to escape their daily struggles and enjoy an evening together while watching Tigers baseball at Comerica Park. On September 8, families from Children's Hospital of Michigan - craniofacial unit will attend the game through Sanchez's Little Smiles. The guests of Sanchez's Little Smiles have the opportunity to watch batting practice from the field and meet Anibal Sanchez.
• The national anthem will be performed by the Wayne State University Band along with vocalist Dr. Emery Stephens.

Wednesday, September 9 vs Tampa Bay Rays at 7:08 p.m. Gates Open at 5:30 p.m.

• First Responders Night: The Detroit Tigers in partnership with BELFOR Property Restoration celebrate the men and women of our local fire and police forces and their dedication to our community through public service while also honoring the men and women who lost their lives during the attacks on 9-11 and local first responders who have lost their lives in the line of duty. Selected firefighters and police officers are invited on the field at Comerica Park and to be recognized for their service to our local communities prior to the National Anthem.
• The national anthem will be performed by vocalist Michael Austin, accompanied by The Dearborn Fire and Police Departments, who will present our nations colors.
