Holiday Wonderland returns to Petco Park this December

SAN DIEGO - It was announced today that Holiday Wonderland will return to Petco Park this December. The holiday celebration will once again light up the ballpark for 12-nights in December, with a larger footprint, featuring even more walk-through lighting vignettes and unique holiday activities for all ages, in every corner of Petco Park. 

Beginning on Friday, December 4, and continuing for three consecutive weekends, Holiday Wonderland will be open from 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday. During the final few nights leading up to Christmas Eve (Monday, December 21 to Wednesday, December 23), Holiday Wonderland will be open from 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

"Last year's inaugural Holiday Wonderland event was an overwhelming success and we have set out to make this year's event even bigger and better," said Vice President, Corporate and Event Revenue Jeremy Horowitz. "With an expanded layout, more activities and the incorporation of our new video board into the event, the magic of the holidays will be alive and well at Petco Park."

During its first year in 2014, more than 65,000 guests experienced Holiday Wonderland over 12 nights. Once again this year, Holiday Wonderland will offer the opportunity to ride a Polar Express train, explore Candyland, feed live reindeer, discover Santa's workshop and meet his elves, visit with Santa, and more. 

Adult admission is $15 and child admission is $10. Kids under three will be admitted free of charge. In an effort to keep crowds at an optimal level for event enjoyment, tickets will be date-specific. Purchasing tickets in advance is strongly encouraged, as ticket sales will be capped once each date has reached capacity. In the event that Holiday Wonderland is shut down due to rain, guests will have the opportunity to exchange their date-specific tickets for another night.

Those who would prefer to purchase tickets good for any date Holiday Wonderland is open can take advantage of the Red Bow Package, which includes two tickets good for any night of the event, entry at a dedicated gate and a commemorative Padres ornament. The Red Bow Package is priced at $40, and will be available for purchase soon. Military, group and event discounts are available.
