Dodgers Reinstate Hernandez

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Dodgers today reinstated infielder/outfielder Kiké Hernandez (left hamstring strain) from the 15-day disabled list, giving the club 38 players on its active roster.

Hernandez, who last appeared in a big league game on Aug. 30, has hit .308 with six homers and 21 RBI in 71 games with the Dodgers this year, appearing in games at second base (20 G/15 GS), third base (1 GS), shortstop (16 G/11 GS), left field (16 G/5 GS), center field (14 GS) and right field (2 G/1 GS). The 24-year-old has a .353 batting average with runners in scoring position this year (12-for-34) and had been one of the Dodgers' hottest hitters prior to his injury, posting a .382/.427/.566 slashline in 26 games from July 24-Aug. 30.
