Braves Select One Player in Rule 5 Draft

LHP Robert Fish chosen in Major League Phase from the Los Angeles Angels

The Atlanta Braves selected one player in today’s Major League Baseball Rule 5 Draft.  LHP Robert Fish was selected from the Los Angeles Angels in the Major League phase. Atlanta’s 40-man roster currently stands at 37.

Fish, 23, was originally selected by the Angels in the sixth round of the 2006 June free agent draft and has been used mostly as a reliever. In six minor league seasons, Fish has gone 21-20 with a 4.87 ERA. Last season, Fish featured a 3.26 ERA over 24 relief appearances with Double-A Arkansas while striking out 41 over 30.1 innings pitched.
