Rodgers, Brewers team up for 2012 television spots

First commercial debuts today; others to be released in coming weeks

MILWAUKEE – Not only did the Milwaukee Brewers feature an MVP of their own in 2011, they also landed another MVP to their roster in 2012: Green Bay Packers Quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

In February, the Brewers and Aaron Rodgers joined forces to film a series of television spots promoting the 2012 Brewers. Numerous players appeared in the spots, including the Brewers 2011 National League MVP Ryan Braun. Five spots include Rodgers, while several others feature only Brewers players.

The first of the five Rodgers spots – “3-Step Drop” - was released today, along with several other Brewers 2012 television commercials (“Translation,” “Big Numbers” and “Radio Control”). Approximately every three weeks, a new spot featuring Rodgers will be released.

“We have established a partnership with Aaron Rodgers, and these television spots showcase Aaron’s wit and sense of humor,” said Brewers Chief Operating Officer Rick Schlesinger.

The spot released today (3-Step Drop) features an unusual pitching delivery by Rodgers with Doug Melvin and Ron Roenicke observing from the stands.

The production of all of the 2012 Brewers television spots was handled by the creative team of 2-Story Creative and Metaphystico. The shoot occurred in late February at the Brewers Spring Training facility in Maryvale, Arizona.

The spots can be viewed at http://brewers.com/2012tv.

The next spot is scheduled to be released on April 23.
