Rangers game at Detroit on Friday postponed due to rain

Detroit -- The Texas Rangers game versus the Detroit Tigers scheduled for Friday night at Comerica Park has been postponed due to rain.

The game will be made up as the second game of a split doubleheader on Saturday, April 21 beginning at 6:05 p.m. CT. The regularly scheduled game on Saturday remains at 12:05 p.m. CT.

The pitching matchups and broadcasting information for Saturday:

Game 1 (12:05 p.m. CT)—LHP Matt Harrison vs. RHP Rick Porcello, FSSW/103.3 FM/1540 AM

Game 2 (6:05 p.m. CT)—RHP Neftali Feliz vs. RHP Justin Verlander, TXA21/660 AM/1540 AM

The Rangers played two games on the same date once in 2011, splitting a traditional doubleheader on April 8 at Baltimore. The team’s last split doubleheader was on Sept. 11, 2007 here in Detroit. The Rangers won the day game, 13-6, hitting seven homers, and were beaten in the night game, 4-1.
