Twins place Walters on 15-day disabled list
Oliveros recalled from Triple-A Rochester
The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have placed right-handed pitcher P.J. Walters on the 15-day disabled list with right shoulder inflammation.
To replace Walters on the 25-man roster, the Twins recalled right-handed pitcher Lester Oliveros from Triple-A Rochester. In 12 games for the Red Wings this season, Oliveros went 1-1 with a 4.08 ERA (17.2 ip, 8 er) with four saves, 22 strikeouts and five walks for the Red Wings. He also appeared in 13 games for Double-A New Britain earlier this season, going 1-1 with a 1.42 ERA (19.0 ip, 3 er) and two saves.
Oliveros will wear uniform number 17.
