New York Yankees and Legends Hospitality to collect Salvation Army donations in 5-foot-high Yankees piggy bank during August 13-19 homestand at Yankee Stadium

The New York Yankees today announced that in conjunction with Legends Hospitality Management, they will assist the Salvation Army in supporting those in need by collecting donations during the current Yankees homestand from Monday, August 13 through Sunday, August 19.

Yankees fans in attendance at games throughout the week will be able to donate to the Salvation Army by depositing money in a 5-foot-tall pinstriped Yankees piggy bank situated inside Yankee Stadium's Gate 2 entrance, which is located on Jerome Avenue near 164th Street.

Table-top-sized replicas of the piggy bank will be sold throughout Yankee Stadium with $1.00 from every piggy bank sold going to the Salvation Army.

To kick off the event, the Yankees will hold a pregame ceremony on Monday, August 13 before their game vs. the Texas Rangers. Additionally on Monday, approximately 500 children from the Salvation Army's Star Lake Music Camp will be the special guests of the Yankees organization.

All donations will support The Salvation Army Greater New York Division's efforts to help those in need.
