Angels Pitching Coach Butcher Disciplined

Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim pitching coach Mike Butcher has received a one-game suspension and an undisclosed fine for leaving the dugout to argue balls and strikes and aggressively arguing with Umpire Mike Estabrook during the top of the first inning of the Club’s Sunday, August 12th game against the Seattle Mariners at Angel Stadium. Joe Garagiola, Jr., Senior Vice President of Standards & On-Field Operations for Major League Baseball, made the announcement.

Butcher’s suspension is to be served tonight, when the Angels are to host the Cleveland Indians.
