Blue Jays deal Comer to Astros as player to be named

 

The TORONTO BLUE JAYS have sent RHP KEVIN COMER to the Astros as the player to be named later in the 10-player trade completed with Houston on July 20.

COMER, 20, is in his first professional season, posting a 3-3 record with a 3.95 ERA in 10 games (seven starts) for Bluefield in the Appalachian League (Rookie). The Shamong, New Jersey native was selected 57th overall by the Blue Jays in the June 2011 draft after attending Seneca High School in Tabernacle, New Jersey.
