Rangers Wives and Texas Rangers Foundation to host online auction benefitting Kenna's Kids

Arlington, Texas – The Texas Rangers Wives are partnering with the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation to host an online auction to benefit Kenna’s Kids nonprofit organization.  Beginning Monday, August 20, at 9 a.m. CT/10 a.m. ET, the auction will open online at www.texasrangers.com/auction. 

Included in the auction are 37 one-of-a-kind autographed items from members of the 2012 Texas Rangers team. Featured auction items include: Josh Hamilton natural Louisville Slugger bat, Mike Napoli worn black and red Nike cleats, Michael Young black Louisville Slugger bat, Ian Kinsler tan Louisville Slugger glove and a Nolan Ryan baseball.

Bidding starts as low as $25, with $500 being the highest opening bid. Once bids are placed, bidders will be able to monitor their selection online and continue to bid until the auction closes on Wednesday, September 12 at noon. The winning bidder for each item will be notified following the auction.

Each year the Texas Rangers Wives join forces to spearhead a fundraising initiative that will assist a community organization. This year’s beneficiary, Kenna’s Kids is a nonprofit organization that reaches out to individual families with children experiencing medical challenges at a young age. Annually, Kenna’s Kids selects three children and their families to assist with medical bills and provide a network of support.

In addition, the Rangers Wives often join forces to assist one another in their individual and other initiatives to support the community they consider “home” during the baseball season. The Texas Rangers Wives will act as hosts for the inaugural Rangers Race on Monday, September 3 at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington to benefit the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation.
