A's Recall RHP Tyson Ross from Sacramento

OAKLAND, Calif. – The Oakland A’s recalled right-handed pitcher Tyson Ross from Triple-A Sacramento, the club announced today.

Ross joins the A’s for the fifth time this year and is 2-9 with a 6.45 ERA in 13 games, all starts.  He has pitched just once in two of his stints, including his last one when he was called up August 23 to start at Tampa Bay before being optioned the next day.  Ross allowed five runs on nine hits in 6.0 innings to take the loss against the Rays and then pitched in relief with Sacramento following his option.  He allowed four runs, three earned, on four hits and a walk in 2.0 innings over two relief appearances and is 6-2 with a 2.99 ERA in 15 games, 13 starts, overall with the River Cats.
