D-backs to host 14th annual Hispanic Heritage Day on Sept. 16

PHOENIX — The Arizona Diamondbacks will host their 14th Annual Hispanic Heritage Day, presented by Budweiser, to help kick off Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15-Oct. 15) on Sunday, Sept. 16 for a 1:10 p.m. game between the D-backs and San Francisco Giants. Festivities for the day will be highlighted by three Lucha Libre USA matches on 4th Street prior to the game.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early as festivities begin at 11 a.m. along the Plaza and 4th Street and include Lucha Libre USA wrestling matches, food trucks, tailgate games and inflatables. In addition, there will be Folklorico dancers and Mariachi performers throughout the ballpark prior to the game.

D-backs players and coaches will wear their customary black jerseys with “Los D-backs” across the front for the fifth consecutive season. Following the game, the jerseys will be available for auction at dbacks.com/auctions with proceeds benefitting the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation.

The D-backs will honor prominent business leaders in the Hispanic Community on the field prior to the game. Other participating sponsors of Hispanic Heritage Day include Cox Communications, Chevrolet, Mission Foods and ESPN Deportes.
