Blue Jays Litsch elects free agency

The Toronto Blue Jays have reinstated RHP Jesse Litsch from the 60-day disabled list. The right-hander has elected free agency in lieu of accepting an outright assignment to the minor leagues.

Litsch, 27, posted a 27-27 record with a 4.16 ERA in 88 games (67 starts) over parts of five seasons with the Blue Jays (2007-11).
