Phillies to serve holiday luncheon for the homeless on Thursday

Phillies Holiday Week of Giving continues!

Members of the Phillies family will tie on their aprons to serve a traditional holiday dinner to over 200 homeless community members at Bethesda Project's shelter on Thursday, December 13 at 12 p.m. The event will take place with help from ShopRite, which is donating 25 turkeys to the event. Phillies front office personnel donate, prepare and serve the food.

Scheduled to participate as servers are: Phillies president David Montgomery, General Manager Ruben Amaro, Jr., Manager Charlie Manuel, broadcasters Larry Andersen and Scott Franzke, and the Phanatic.

The event is part of the Phillies Holiday Week of Giving, which features daily events to spread holiday cheer, as well as salute community heroes and various organizations that provide valuable services to those in need.
