Andrew Graham returns as Single A Connecticut Manager

Mike Rabelo returns as Hitting Coach; Mark Johnson to serve as Pitching Coach

DETROIT – The Detroit Tigers today announced Andrew Graham will return in 2013 to serve as the manager at Single A Connecticut. Mike Rabelo will return as the club’s hitting coach in 2013, while Mark Johnson will serve as the pitching coach.

The 2013 season will mark Graham’s third season as the manager at Connecticut, his fifth season with the Tigers organization. He served as a coach with the Gulf Coast League Tigers in both 2009 and 2010, in addition to serving as the organization’s minor league catching coordinator in 2010.

Rabelo will serve as the hitting coach with Connecticut during the 2013 season, his second season in that capacity and his third season with the Tigers organization. He served as a coach with the Gulf Coast League Tigers during the 2011 season.

The 2013 season will mark Johnson’s seventh season with the Tigers organization. He spent five seasons as the pitching coach with Single A West Michigan (2008-12). Johnson served as the pitching coach with Single A Oneonta during the 2007 season.

Jason Schwartzman will serve as Connecticut’s athletic trainer in 2013, his first season with the club. He spent his first two seasons (2011-12) with the organization as the athletic trainer with the Gulf Coast League Tigers.
