Mariners HOF Induction, Bat Night and Fireworks top this year's Special Events

Single Game Tickets for 2013 on sale Saturday, March 16

With pitchers and catchers slated to report to Peoria, AZ, in three weeks (February 12), the Seattle Mariners announced a slate of special events for the 2013 season including Ken Griffey Jr.’s induction into the Mariners Hall of Fame, the first postgame fireworks shows in Safeco Field history, Felix Hernandez “Perfect Game” bobblehead and the introduction of the Northwest’s fashion-must the Beard Hat. That’s in addition to the annual events and giveaways fans look forward to each Mariners season.

Highlights of the 2013 schedule include:

Beard Hat Night (first 20,000 fans)
It’s a ski cap, it’s faux facial hair and it’s the first ever Mariners beard hat, the must-have fashion accessory of the year.
April 26 vs. Angels

Bat Night (all kids 14 & under)
Back by popular demand – all youngsters will take home a full-size black Dustin Ackley Louisville Slugger.
April 27 vs. Angels

T-shirt Tuesdays (first 5,000 fans)
Fans will have the opportunity, via social media, to pick the design for T-shirt Tuesdays prior to each event.
April 30 vs. Orioles
June 4 vs. White Sox
July 9 vs. Red Sox

Felix “Perfect Game” Bobblehead Night (first 20,000 fans)
The King’s iconic “Felixing” pose is captured in a bobblehead to celebrate the first perfect game in Mariners history.
May 25 vs. Rangers

Fireworks Nights (post-game)
For the first time in Safeco Field history, post-game fireworks shows will be part of the Mariners special events schedule. The Mariners have partnered with Pyro Spectaculars, the same company that produces the New Year’s Eve at the Space Needle extravaganza, for two very special events in 2013.

August 9 vs. Brewers

Turn Back the Clock Night
We roll the hands of time back more than 100 years as the Mariners host the Chicago Cubs. The Mariners will wear vintage Northwest League uniforms while the Cubs will wear uniforms from the turn of the last century.

Dustin Ackley Gnome Night (first 20,000 fans)
Take Dustin from our yard to yours.
July 13 vs. Angels

Ken Griffey Jr. Mariners Hall of Fame Night & Bobblehead (first 20,000 fans)
Junior will become the seventh inductee into the Mariners Hall of Fame during a special pre-game ceremony.
August 10 vs. Brewers

Guys Night Out
May 24 vs. Rangers
Terrace Club ticket, T-shirt and beverage for $25 – the perfect price for the perfect night out for any guy or girl. ($30 day of game price)

Girls Night Out
July 12 vs. Angels
Terrace Club ticket, T-shirt and beverage for $25 – the perfect price for the perfect night out for any guy or girl. ($30 day of game price)

Ticket Specials

Ticket discounts such as Family Nights, Family Packs, College Nights and military discount nights are all returning for 2013. This year, military discounts will be expanded to Sunday through Thursday home games, excluding Opening Night. King’s Court will also be on the schedule for Felix Hernandez’s home starts.

Single Game Tickets on sale March 16

Single game tickets for the 2013 Seattle Mariners season go on sale to the public on Saturday, March 16, at 10am. But fans can register for a special online pre-sale opportunity to buy single game tickets on March 14. Go to www.mariners.com/register to sign up for the pre-sale opportunity.

Beginning March 16, single game tickets will be available online at www.mariners.com/tickets, at the Safeco Field Box Office and Seattle Mariners Team Stores.
