A's option Figueroa and Parrino to Sacramento; place Nakajima on DL
Non-Roster Invitees Ekstrom, Montz and Okajima Reassigned to Minor League Camp
OAKLAND, Calif. - The Oakland A's optioned left-handed pitcher Pedro Figueroa and infielder Andy Parrino to Triple-A Sacramento, the club announced today. The A's also placed infielder Hiro Nakajima on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to March 27 with a strained left hamstring. Right-handed pitcher Mike Ekstrom, left-handed pitcher Hideki Okajima and catcher Luke Montz, the A's three remaining non-roster invitees, were reassigned to the A's minor league camp.
