White Sox place Dewayne Wise on 15-Day Disabled List; Recall Jordan Danks from Class AAA Charlotte

Prior to today's game at Oakland, the Chicago White Sox placed outfielder Dewayne Wise on the 15-day disabled list (retroactive to May 30) with a strained right hamstring and recalled outfielder Jordan Danks from Class AAA Charlotte.

Wise, 35, has appeared in just two games since making a start on 5/18 at Los Angeles-AL. He is hitting .234 (15-64) with a home run, three RBI and six runs scored over 30 games with the White Sox in 2013.

Danks, 26, has played in nine games with Chicago this season, going 3-15 (.200) with a home run and two RBI. He is also hitting .299 (38-127) with five home runs, 20 RBI and 25 runs scored over 33 games with Charlotte.

Danks is the younger brother of White Sox pitcher John Danks. This marks the first time the two brothers are on the active roster at the same time.

Wise joins Gordon Beckham, Gavin Floyd (60-day) and Leyson Septimo (60-day) on the White Sox disabled list.
