Giants welcome Padres and Marlins to town

Homestand features: Autism Awareness night, Ryan Vogelsong Bobblehead and Junior Giants Stretch Drive

The World Champion San Francisco Giants return to AT&T Park for a seven-game homestand against the San Diego Padres, June 17-19 and the Miami Marlins, June 20-23.  

Monday, June 17, is Autism Awareness Night at AT&T Park. The Giants will partner with Autism Speaks and Will Clark in an effort to change the future for all those who struggle with autism spectrum disorders. Special event ticket holders will receive a limited edition Will Clark beanie. Partial proceeds from each special event ticket will be donated directly to Autism Speaks.

The @Café, the new social media headquarters at AT&T Park, will open on Monday, June 17, with a press event at 3:45 pm. This first-of-its-kind venue will serve as a gathering spot for fans during the game who want to follow the worldwide social media chatter about the team, players, coaches and all things related to the Giants and Major League Baseball. The café will also feature a Peet's Coffee Bar and mobile charging stations. It will be located behind the centerfield bleachers in the former Build-A-Bear store.

Tuesday, June 18, the Giants will host Native American Heritage Night. Prior to the game, cultural entertainment will take place on the field for fans to enjoy. Special event ticket holders will receive a Giants themed Native American T-shirt. Tuesday is also Peanut Friendly Night at AT&T Park. Fans with nut allergies will be able to enjoy the game in a peanut controlled section of the ballpark.  

It is also Say Hey Tuesday as CSN Bay Area will host Yahoo! Sports Talk Live from Willie Mays Plaza. Fans are invited to come out early and watch their favorite sports analysts.

Wednesday, June 19, is America's Cup Day at AT&T Park. The first 40,000 fans will receive an America's Cup Poster. Members from the four teams competing in America's Cup will be in attendance for a pre-game ceremony. Oracle Team USA's Skipper, James Spithill, will be throwing out the first pitch.

On Thursday, June 20, the Miami Marlins come to AT&T Park for a four-game series. That night marks the start of the fifth annual Junior Giants Stretch Drive, inspired by Willie "Stretch" McCovey. The Stretch Drive is an organization-wide effort dedicated to raising funds for the more than 20,000 children who participate in a free, non-competitive baseball league, as well as life skills, program in more than 85 underserved communities, through the Giants Community Fund's flagship program, Junior Giants. Fans who make a $50 donation to the Fund will receive a Matt Cain Bobblehead.

Friday, June 21, the Giants will partner with the Gilroy Garlic Festival to host the second annual Garlic Fest on the Shores of McCovey Cove. Fans can purchase a special event ticket package, which includes access to a pre-game Garlic Festival in Seals Plaza from 5-7 pm, a Garlic Fest themed Giants tin with mints and a serving of the brand new garlic fried calamari.

Also on Friday, June 21, the Giants Community Fund and the Good Tidings Foundation are proud to partner with the City of Modesto and Giants pitcher Jeremy Affeldt to dedicate the newly renovated Jeremy Affeldt Junior Giants Field at Enslen Park in Modesto through the Peter A. Magowan Fields for Kids program.

On Saturday, June 22, the first 40,000 fans will receive a Ryan Vogelsong Bobblehead, presented by PG&E. Following the game, season ticket holders will be invited to attend a question and answer session with Giants manager, Bruce Bochy and select Giants players.

Prior to Saturday's game, the Giants will host a skills competition for children from Major League Baseball's Pitch, Hit & Run program. Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run (PHR) is a FREE, exciting skills event for boys and girls where participants have the opportunity to compete in four levels of competition including Team Championship events at all 30 Major League ballparks and the National Finals at the MLB All-Star Game.

It's also KNBR's Weekends in the Park on Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23. Marty Lurie and Patrick Connor will broadcast live from the patio at Public House, leading up to Giants Pregame Show on KNBR 680.

The first 20,000 fans in attendance on Sunday, June 23 will receive a Giants World Champions Beach Towel, presented by Bug Zappers Pest Control. Following the game on Sunday, all kids 14-years and younger are invited to come run the bases, presented by See's Candies.
