Phillies charity events this weekend to benefit pets & kids in need

Phillies Wives and Phillies Ballgirls will be out in full force this weekend at Citizens Bank Park in an effort to save pets' lives, as well as help children in need. Highlights include:

Saturday, June 22: Phillies Wives Save a Pet at the Park, First Base Gate, 2:05-5:35 p.m. 

Phillies Wives are hoping to make a difference in an animal's life with their annual Save a Pet at the Park event! Among the highlights:

  • Rescue cats and dogs will be ready for adoption.
  • Silent Auction featuring new and game-used autographed items.
  • Phillies Wives Mystery Baseballs will be on sale while supplies last.
  • Plus, fans are invited to bring new and gently used blankets, pet toys and pet treats.
  • Proceeds benefit the Pennsylvania SPCA.

Sunday, June 23: Phillies Ballgirls Half Way to the Holidays Toy Collection, Entrance Gates, 11:05 a.m. until game time

  • Phillies Ballgirls will be all around the ballpark dressed for the holidays as they thanks fans for donating new and unwrapped toys.
  • The Phillies Ballgirls will later distribute the toys to local Delaware Valley charitable organizations including PAL.
  • Thousands of toys have been collected for area children since this annual collection began.
