Twins option Butera to Triple-A

Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN -- The Minnesota Twins announced after today's game that they have optioned catcher Drew Butera to Triple-A Rochester. Butera, who was recalled on Wednesday to replace Joe Mauer (Paternity List), appeared in two games going 0-for-3.

Additionally, the Twins will reinstate Joe Mauer from the restricted list tomorrow. Mauer, who celebrated the birth of twin daughters on Wednesday, will be in uniform Tuesday night when the Twins host the Kansas City Royals at Target Field.
