Colby Rasmus Named Honda Player Of The Month
TORONTO BLUE JAYS OF COLBY RASMUS has been named the HONDA PLAYER OF THE MONTH for July by the TORONTO CHAPTER of the BBWAA. Honda, the official vehicle of the Blue Jays, will make a donation to a charity of Colby's choice.
RASMUS, 27, batted .371 with three home runs and 17 RBI while posting a 1.001 OPS ranking 8th in the AL. The left-handed hitter ranks 2nd in the AL with 17 home runs among centre fielders.
DH/1B Edwin Encarnacion (.305, 6HR, 18RBI) finished 2nd in the voting, while LHP Mark Buehrle (3-2, 2.75 ERA) finished 3rd.
