Fox Sports Detroit's Tigers telecast Wednesday night is the highest rated game this season

The Detroit Tigers' dramatic, 14-inning 6-5 win over the Cleveland Indians Wednesday night had fans tuning in to watch in record numbers.

FOX Sports Detroit had a 15.46 household average, peaking at 10:15 p.m. with a 21.04 household average. Wednesday's game becomes the second highest rated Tigers game of all time, behind the 9/30/09 game against the Twins that averaged a 15.6 HH rating and reduced their magic number to 2.

"Detroit fans love great baseball and Mike Ilitch has built a team that is easy to love." said Greg Hammaren, senior vice president and general manager of FOX Sports Detroit. "Just like the city they play for, this team never quits and fans respond to that commitment on a deep level. Bless you boys."

The Tigers look to extend their AL Central lead in the final game of this 4 game series vs. Cleveland tonight.
