Texas Rangers and FOX Sports Southwest live auction raises $164,261.00 for tornado relief in Oklahoma and North Texas

ARLINGTON, Texas-The Texas Rangers and Fox Sports Southwest tonight announced that the live auction during tonight's game telecast raised a total of $164,261.00 to support victims of the devastating tornadoes that hit Oklahoma and North Texas in May.

.The highest bids were $12,700.00 for the Nolan Ryan/FOX Southwest Fan Express Experience, $12,600.00 for the Dallas Cowboys VIP Game Experience, and $8,100.00 each for the FOX Sports Southwest Behind-the-Scenes Experience and the Road Trip with the Dallas Stars.

In addition, the Texas Rangers Wives Association tonight raised over $18,000.00 in its silent auction for team gift baskets with all proceeds going to the Tornado relief effort. Each Rangers player put together an individual basket in the silent auction which includes autographed equipment and memorabilia, favorite foods, and other items.

Proceeds from tonight's benefit will go to the United Way OK Strong Disaster Recovery Fund and Mission Granbury. The foundations are assisting with the long-term medical, emotional and educational needs of victims affected by the deadly storms that tore through Oklahoma and North Texas.
