Pitcher - RHP, Yacksel Rios, Williamsport… 1 start… 1-0, 0.00 ERA (5.0 IP), 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 3 BB, 6 SO… Rios (5.0 IP) started Williamsport's combined no-hitter on 8/18 vs Mahoning Valley… The 20-year-old Rios was selected by the Phillies in the 12th round of the 2011 First-Year Player Draft and signed by Allan Marr.
Player - OF, Zack Collier, Reading… 6 G… Batted .444 (8-18), 3 R, 2B, 2 3B, HR, 4 RBI, 3 BB… Collier earns his 1st POTW honor this season… Drafted between the 1st and 2nd rounds of the 2008 draft (34th overall), Collier was signed by Darrell Conner.
Lehigh Valley IronPigs - International League North Division…66-63, 4th place… 3-3 for the week… C Cameron Rupp batted .375 (6-16), 2B, HR… Rupp's HR proved to be the game winner as Lehigh Valley took down SWB in 11.0 innings on 8/17… Rupp has set a career-high with 14 HR this season between Reading (AA) and LV, and has hit safely in 12 of his last 14 G (.357 AVG)… OF Tyson Gillies batted .368 (7-19), 2 SB… Gillies saw his 7 G hitting streak snapped on 8/18… OF Steve Susdorf batted .350 (7-20), 2 2B… RHP Tyler Cloyd earned a promotion back to Philadelphia after one of the best stretches of his career… Cloyd made 1 start this week, and made the most of it - W, CG, 9.0 IP, 3 H, R, BB, 7 SO… Over his last 7 starts at LV Cloyd posted a 1.34 ERA (7 ER, 47.0 IP) (since 7/11)… Cloyd's last 2 starts for LV were both complete games (8.0 IP on 8/8 at CHA & 9.0 IP on 8/14 vs SYR)… Cloyd became the 1st pitcher in IronPigs history to toss back-to-back CG… RHP David Buchanan backed up his Player of the Week honors by going 6.1 IP, 2 ER in his only start… All 3 of Buchanan's starts at the triple-A level have been quality starts and he is 2-1 with a 1.77 ERA (4 ER, 20.1 IP) at LV this season… Since being activated from the DL, LHP Adam Morgan has posted a 1.48 ERA (4 ER, 24.1 IP) in 6 starts… LHP Greg Smith earned another W this week going 7.0 IP, 2 ER, 7 SO… As a starter this season Smith is 7-1, 1.68 ERA in 11 starts… RHP J.C. Reading Fightin Phils - Eastern League Eastern Division…52-73, 6th place… 1-5 for the week… OF Zach Collier earned POTW honors as he batted .444 (8-18), 2B, 2 3B, HR… Collier has hit safely in 7 of his last 9 contests… (.400, 12-30)… OF Kelly Dugan belted his 17th HR this season (10 HR w/ CLR & 7 HR w/ REA)… 3B Maikel Franco had 6 hits, 2 of which were doubles and 4 RBI… Franco has 262 total bases this season which ranks 2nd in all of Minor League Baseball… 1B Jim Murphy hit his 20th hr of the season, which ranks 2nd in the Phils ML system… Murphy is 2 HR shy of his career-high mark of 22 which he accomplished with Lakewood (A) in 2011… LHP Mario Hollands made 1 start going 7.0 innings, 2 R, 6 SO… LHP Jesse Biddle made 2 starts this week where he totaled 16 SO over 12.0 innings of work… Biddle leads the PHI ML system with 144 SO in 129.1 IP this season (10.02 SO/9.0 IP)… LHP Bobby Bramhall threw 5.0 scoreless innings in his only start this week… RHP Hector Neris allowed just 1 H with 4 SO in 4.0 scoreless innings of relief.

Lakewood BlueClaws - South Atlantic League North Division - First Half-26-41, 7th place… Second Half - 21-34, T-6th place… 1-4 for the week… SS Angelo Mora batted .429 (6-14), HR & 2 SB… 3B Mitch Walding batted .333 (5-15), 2B, 3B, SB… RHP Jeb Stefan made 1 start going 6.0 IP, 1 R… RHP Jon Prosinki made 1 start going 4.2 scoreless… RHP Lee Ridenhour pitched 4.0 scoreless innings of relief… RHP Geoff Broussard tossed 3.0 scoreless innings out of the pen… LHP Lino Martinez earned LWD's only W this week as he made 3 appearances in relief… RHP Devi Francisco notched his 8th SV of the season as he preserved Martinez's win.
Williamsport CrossCutters - New York Penn League Pinckney Division - 28-29, 4th place… 3-2 for the week… 3B Zach Green belted his league-leading 11th HR & 19th 2B this week… OF Dylan Cozens scored 7 runs in 5 G as he reached base 9 times via 5 walks, 1B, 2B, 3B while adding a SB… OF Sam Hiciano made the most out of his 3 G; he batted .455 (5-11), 2 2B, 2 HR & 9 RBI… OF Justin Parr batted .385 (5-13)… OF Gustavo Martinez batted .385 (5-13)…. CrossCutters pitching stole the show this week as Yacksel Rios (5.0 IP), Mark Meadors (3.0 IP) & Manny Martinez (1.0 IP) combined to throw the 3rd no-hitter in CrossCutters history on 8/18 vs Mahoning Valley… Between the no-hitter on 8/18 and a shutout on 8/17 at Batavia; it marked the 1st time since 2006 that the Cutters tossed back-to-back shutouts… RHP Yacksel Rios went 1-0 in 5.0 IP, 0 H, 3 BB, 6 SO… RHP Mark Meadors made 2 relief appearances going 5.0 innings, 0 H, BB, 6 SO… RHP Shane Martin made 1 start going 5.0 innings of 1-hit, no-run baseball… RHP Drew Anderson picked up the W in his only start going 5.0 IP, 4 H, 0 R… Anderson is 6-3 with a 2.17 ERA in 12 starts this season… RHP Keivi Rojas made 2 relief appearances totaling 5.0 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 6 SO… In 16 G this season Rojas has posted a 1.13 ERA (3 ER, 24.0 IP) with 33 SO.
