Blue Jays roster moves

The TORONTO BLUE JAYS recalled RHP CHAD JENKINS from New Hampshire of the Eastern League (AA) and have selected the contract of RHP CHIEN-MING WANG from Buffalo of the International League (AAA). To make room on the 40-man roster, the Blue Jays have transferred MAICER IZTURIS to the 60-day disabled list.

JENKINS, 25, has posted a 1.20 ERA in four games, three starts with New Hampshire this season without a decision. On the season, he has a combined minor league record of 0-3 with a 4.54 ERA in 11 games, 10 starts while pitching for Buffalo, New Hampshire and the Gulf Coast Blue Jays. In three starts for Toronto this season, the 6-3, 225lb. right handed pitcher is 1-0 with a 3.60 ERA.

WANG, 33, has posted a 4-4 record in nine starts with a 2.33 ERA for Buffalo. The 6-4, 225 lb. right handed pitcher who will start for the Blue Jays tonight, made five starts for Toronto this season posting a 1-1 record with a 7.13 ERA
