Player - 2B, Andrew Pullin, Williamsport… 7 G… Batted .400 (12-30), 2 R, 4 2B, HR, 5 RBI, 1 BB… Pullin earns POTW honors for the 2nd time this season (7/8-14)… A 5th round selection in the 2012 First-Year Player Draft out of Centralia HS (Washington), Pullin was signed by Rick Jacques.

Lehigh Valley IronPigs - International League North Division…69-63, T-3rd place… 3-3 for the week… INF/OF Cesar Hernandez batted .471 (8-17), 2B, 3B, SB in 5 G… Hernandez has posted a .382 OBP this season for LV and has hit safely in 7 of his last 8 G… Hernandez is batting .317 with 31 SB for LV this year… INF/OF Pete Orr batted .304 (7-23), 5 R, 2 2B, 3B prior to his promotion to PHI…. Crawford picked up right where he left off with GCL as he spent his 1st full week in LWD… Crawford reached base safely in his 1st 8G for LWD as he batted .321 (9-28), 5 BB, 2B, 2 SB… OF Larry Greene batted .320 (8-25), 7 R, 4 2B… 1B Art Charles had 8 H including 3 2B… Charles leads the club with 23 2B on the season… C Gabriel Lino batted .357 (5-14), 2 2B, 3B in 4 G… OF Jiandido Tromp batted .313 (5-16), 2B, 2 3B… Lakewood pitching was led by a group of 2013 draft picks… RHP Mark Leiter (22nd round) earned POTW honors as he made his 1st 2 starts for LWD going 1-0, 0.00 ERA (11.0 IP), 9 H, 2 BB, 12 SO… RHP Jon Prosinski (10th round) picked up a W in his only start going 5.0 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 4 SO… RHP Chris Burgess (26th round) picked up 2 SV in 4.0 scoreless innings of relief… RHP Lee Ridenhour (16th round) tossed 3.0 scoreless innings in relief… Ridenhour posted a 1.87 ERA in 19G between WIL and LWD before earning a promotion to CLR… Ridenhour has 28 SO to only 4 BB this season… RHP Miguel Nunez picked up his 10th W of the season this week as he went 1-0 in 2 starts striking out 13 while allowing just 1 BB in 10.0 IP.

Williamsport CrossCutters - New York Penn League Pinckney Division - 30-34, 4th place… 2-5 for the week… 2B Andrew Pullin picked up POTW honors as he batted .400 (12-30), 4 2B, HR… Pullin was riding a 7G hitting streak as the week came to an end…. OF Dylan Cozens batted .304 (7-23), HR, 4 RBI… Cozens has 7 HR this season and leads the club in OPS (.806)… SS Malquin Canelo batted .412 (7-17)… C Andrew Knapp (2013 2nd round selection) belted his 4th HR of the season… OF Samuel Hiciano hit his 7th HR this season… RHP Julio Reyes made 2 starts where he allowed just 2 H and 1 R over 10.0 IP… On 8/24 Reyes did not allow a H in 6.0 IP… Over his last 5 starts Reyes has allowed just 7 H in 23.0 IP (.095 OPP AVG, 7-74)… RHP Matt Soren tossed 2.0 scoreless innings in relief… RHP Tyler Buckley made 2 scoreless appearances out of the pen this week and at press time has a 2.31 ERA over 18 G for WIL this season.

Gulf Coast League Phillies - 28-28, 2nd place… 3-3 for the week… GCL struggled with the lumber as they batted just .190 (35-184) as a team this week… 2B Robinson Torres led the team with 6 H including 2 2B… OF Venn Biter hit .294 (5-17), 2 2B… Biter is batting .300 through his 1st 50 AB's as a professional… OF Jose Pujols hit his 6th HR of the year for GCL… 1B/3B Trey Williams belted his 2nd HR of the season… RHP Tyler Viza made 2 starts picking up a win going 10.0 IP, 6 H, R, BB, 9 SO… Viza has posted a 1.55 ERA through his 1st 29.0 innings as a professional… LHP Elniery Garcia made 1 start going 4.0 IP, 1 R, 5 SO… RHP Richard Bielski picked up a W as he tossed an inning of scoreless relief… Bielski has posted a 1.23 ERA in 22.0 IP this season… RHP Lewis Alzones tossed 2.0 scoreless innings out of the bullpen… Alzones has a 1.59 ERA through 22.2 IP this season.
