Brewers Community Foundation Week raises nearly $235,000 for club's philanthropic efforts

Brewers Community Foundation Week (BCF Week), staged during the August 15-21 homestand at Miller Park, raised over $234,000 for Brewers Community Foundation's charitable outreach activities. BCF Week featured seven days of activities at Miller Park and in the community.

Among the highlights of the week-long activities was an "Ultimate Auction" that offered one-of-a-kind memorabilia items and unique experiences. The auction alone raised over $28,000. The Pink Tie Guy event - hosted by Doug and Ellen Melvin with special guest Hank Aaron and a host of Brewers players, coaches and front office staff - along with daily fundraisers, in-stadium 50/50 raffles and Brewers Wives mystery bags also highlighted the week.

Some of the non-profit programs previously supported by the Foundation include ABCD: After Breast Cancer Diagnosis, Arts at Large, Beckum Stapleton Little League, Boys & Girls Club, COA, Felix Mantilla Little League, Girl Scouts of Milwaukee, Hunger Task Force, Make-a-Wish, Sojourner Truth House, UPAF, United Way, YMCA, and YWCA.

Through Brewers Community Foundation, the Brewers continue with their pledge to serve as leaders in the community. Brewers Community Foundation harnesses the pride, passion and commitment of Brewers fans, players and other supporters to positively impact the lives of children and their families in Greater Milwaukee and Wisconsin.

BCF Week and the BCF Week Ultimate Auction were presented by the 2013 Leadership Council, comprised of BMO Harris Bank, Delta Dental, Delzer Lithograph, Kapco, MillerCoors, Northwestern Mutual Foundation, Wisconsin Energy Foundation and West Bend Mutual. BCF's focused areas of interest are health, education, recreation and basic needs, and the week's activities supported and created awareness for initiatives related to these causes.
