Astros to host press conference with Governor of Veracruz
Significant joint announcement to be made on Saturday, September 28
The Houston Astros will host a press conference on Saturday, September 28 at 2:00pm to make a significant, joint announcement with the Governor of Veracruz, Dr. Javier Duarte de Ochoa.
Astros General Manager Jeff Luhnow, who was born and spent 15 years in Mexico City, will represent the Astros at the press conference along with President of Business Operations Reid Ryan and Astros Spanish radio broadcasters Alex Trevino and Francisco Romero.
Also scheduled to attend from the Veracruz Red Eagles of the Mexican Baseball League are: Chairman Jose Antonio Mansur, Vice President Jose Antonio Mansur, Jr., Executive Chairman Jean Paul Mansur and Administrative Chair Chara Mansur.
The press conference will be conducted in both English and Spanish. Refreshments will be available as well, courtesy of Goya and Minute Maid.
