Orioles announce pumpkin carving contest for fans

One lucky fan to win Trick-or-Treating with the Oriole Bird

In the spirit of the season, the Orioles today announced a pumpkin carving contest for fans with a grand prize of trick-or-treating with the Oriole Bird. Fans may enter by carving an Orioles-themed pumpkin and posting a photo of their creation using the hashtag #OsPumpkin on a public Instagram account.

The entry period begins today and ends at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, October 27. Orioles' staff members will then judge the entries and select four finalists based on creativity and originality, quality of photo, and relevance to contest theme. On Monday, October 28, fans will be able to provide their input to vote for their favorite via Facebook or Twitter. A grand prize winner will be announced on October 30.

In the event that the winning fan lives outside of a 40 mile radius of Oriole Park at Camden Yards, or are not the parent or legal guardian of a child between the ages of five and 12, the Orioles reserve the right to substitute an autographed jersey as the winning prize. Fans should visit www.orioles.com/OsPumpkin to see a complete list of rules and access several Orioles pumpkin stencils that may be used for this purpose.
