Twins Single-Game Tickets go on sale February 22

Home Opener Tickets go on Sale on January 24

The Minnesota Twins today announced that single-game tickets for the 2014 season at Target Field go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. CT on Saturday, Feb. 22. In addition, tickets for the 2014 Home Opener against the Oakland Athletics on Monday, April 7 will go on sale starting at 4 p.m. CT on Friday, Jan. 24 in conjunction with the start of TwinsFest. Tickets will be made available via www.twinsbaseball.com, by calling 612-33-TWINS (612-338-9467), 800-33-TWINS (800-338-9467) or in-person at the Target Field Ticket Office.

Twins season tickets are currently on sale and remain the only way for fans to guarantee the opportunity to purchase 2014 All-Star Summer Ticket Strips.

"We are looking forward to a successful 2014 season and are encouraged by the more than 11 million fans who came through the Target Field turnstiles during the past four seasons," said Twins President Dave St. Peter. "The 2014 schedule is extremely attractive and we are anticipating another season of high demand games."

As in previous seasons, the Twins will apply variable pricing to all tickets for the 2014 season. Per-game prices for both single-game and season tickets will be based on factors such as time of year, date and opponent. The five-tier variable pricing structure will apply to all single-game tickets sold on Saturday, Feb. 22.

Beginning Sunday, Feb. 23, the Twins will apply demand-based pricing to all seating sections of Target Field for the 2014 season. Demand-based pricing, which prices tickets according to fan demand, is a practice that has become standard across the sports and entertainment industries. The system, which was implemented at Target Field in 2011, applies only to single-game ticket sales and does not affect Season Ticket Holder pricing.

The Twins begin their Opening Series at Target Field with three games against the Oakland Athletics (April 7, 9 and 10), a set against the Kansas City Royals (April 11-13) and a series against the Toronto Blue Jays (April 15-17).

The Twins 2014 schedule features 14 homes games in the month of April; 14 in May; 10 in June; 16 in July; 12 in August; and 15 in September. Other home schedule highlights include a three-game series against the Boston Red Sox (May 13-15) and a Fourth of July weekend series against the New York Yankees (July 3-6).

The home interleague schedule includes visits by the Los Angeles Dodgers (April 29 and 30, May 1), the Milwaukee Brewers (June 4 and 5), the San Diego Padres (August 5 and 6) and the Arizona Diamondbacks (Sept. 22-24).

Through four seasons at Target Field, the Twins have attracted a total of 11,645,745 fans (an average of 35,944 per game).
