No ice storm is going to stop Phillies Truck Day
Before heading to Clearwater for Spring Training on Thursday, Phillies Equipment Truck to get a lunchtime escort from the Phillie Phanatic through Center City
Here's a BIG sign that Phillies baseball is just around the corner: On Thursday, February 6, the Phillies are packing up Citizens Bank Park and heading south for Spring Training at Bright House Field in Clearwater, Florida - but not before taking a Center City detour along the way.
- Dozens of Phillies staff will haul boxes and load thousands of items needed for Spring Training onto the Phillies Equipment Truck.
- Once the Phanatic loads the final item, the Phillies mascot will escort the 53-foot truck "outta here" - but not without a lunchtime trek through Center City, before heading onto 95 South.
- The Phillies Equipment Truck will unload at its final destination, Bright House Field, on Saturday, February 8.
- Social media users are urged to be on the lookout for the specially marked truck as it travels down the East Coast. Those who send truck photos to @Phillies using #ClearwaterOrBust will be eligible for special prizes.
