Rockies place LHP Brett Anderson on the 15-day DL

SAN DIEGO  - The Colorado Rockies announced today that the club has placed left-handed pitcher Brett Anderson on the 15-day disabled list with a fractured left index finger (retroactive to April 13). In addition, the club has recalled outfielder Corey Dickerson from Triple-A Colorado Springs. Dickerson (#6) will be available for tonight's game against the San Diego Padres at PETCO Park (8:10 p.m. MDT).

Anderson, 26, has made three starts for Colorado this season going 0-2 with a 3.60 ERA (15.0 ip, 6 er). On April 13, he left the game in the fourth inning against San Francisco after injuring his finger during his at-bat in the top of the inning. The 6-foot-4 left-handed starter was acquired by the Rockies from the Oakland Athletics on December 10, 2013 in exchange for pitchers Drew Pomeranz and Chris Jensen. He was the Opening Day starter for Oakland in 2013 and has made 87 career appearances, 76 starts, going 26-31 with a 3.81 ERA (465.2 ip, 197 er), 474 hits, 125 walks and 362 strikeouts.

Dickerson, 24, is making his second stint with Colorado after making his first career Opening Day roster this season before being optioned on April 7. In three games with Colorado Springs, he has hit .385 (5-for-13) with a double, triple, RBI and 2 runs. With the Rockies, Dickerson has batted .200 (1-for-5) with 2 runs scored in 3 games. An eighth round pick by Colorado in the 2010 First-Year Player Draft, Dickerson has appeared in 72 career games while batting .261 (52-for-199) with 13 doubles, 5 triples, 5 home runs, 17 RBI and 34 runs.

The Rockies currently have a full 40-man roster.
