Marlins announce 2014 Saturday Spectacular summer concerts

MIAMI - The Marlins today announced four of the five musical acts to take the stage as part of the Saturday Spectacular summer concert series at Marlins Park this season: Gente de Zona, B.o.B, Boyz II Men and Chino y Nacho. The summer concert series will take place on the West Plaza following the five 4:10 p.m. Saturday games this coming May and June.

The Cuban raggaeton group Gente de Zona will open the concert series on May 24, which is also Cuban Heritage Night presented by Banah Sugar. The duo is featured on Enrique Iglesias' latest Spanish release, "Bailando" from his album Sex and Love. The song, which currently has over 7 million views on Vevo, was co-written by Iglesias, Descemer Bueno, and Alexander Delgado and Randy Malcom of Gente De Zona. B.o.B, whose debut album reached No. 1 on the US billboard charts and was certified gold in 2010, follows with the second concert on May 31. The third concert will take place on June 14 and the act will be announced at a later date.

Boyz II Men takes the stage for the fourth concert on June 21; the four-time Grammy-winning R&B group was named the fourth most successful music group of the 1990s by Billboard Magazine. Chino y Nacho is the final show of the concert series as the Venezuelan pop duo performs on Venezuelan Heritage Night, June 28. The group won the 2010 Latin Grammy Award for Best Urban Album.

The Marlins are partnering with Clear Channel Radio Media + Entertainment to host the five postgame concerts on the West Plaza at Marlins Park. Fans will have the opportunity to win tickets and experiences with the artists through the South Florida Clear Channel stations.

The six remaining 7:10 p.m. Saturday games will feature a postgame party at the Clevelander at Marlins Park. Various local and regional DJs will perform 90-minute sets.

Tickets for Saturday Spectacular games, as well as all regular season games, are available at marlins.com/tickets.
