Peanut-controlled section returns to PNC Park

Pirates to partner with Mylan on third Allergy Awareness Night

The Pittsburgh Pirates will once again partner with Mylan on Allergy Awareness Night at PNC Park on Friday, May 9. This is the third consecutive season the Pirates have partnered with Mylan, one of the world's leading generics and specialty pharmaceutical companies (NASDAQ: MYL).

During the game a "Peanut-Controlled" area of the ballpark will be provided for fans who have an allergy to peanuts. The Pirates have reserved The Left Field Deck for these fans - along with their families and friends - to enjoy a night at the most beautiful ballpark in America, as the Pirates host the St. Louis Cardinals at 7:05 p.m.

Tickets for Allergy Awareness night and tickets for the special peanut-controlled section are available now at pirates.com/AllergyAwareness.

Also throughout the game, the PNC Park in-game entertainment will feature Allergy Awareness facts as the Pirates and Mylan partner to educate fans on awareness of life-threatening allergic reactions, or anaphylaxis. In addition the night, like every Friday home game, is a Free Shirt Friday and the first 25,000 fans to enter PNC Park will receive a Pirates' Russell Martin charcoal print tee shirt, compliments of Mylan.

"We are thrilled to partner with the Pittsburgh Pirates, Mylan's hometown team, to host Allergy Awareness Night," said Roger D. Graham Jr., president of Mylan Specialty. "We are proud to work together to help families affected by peanut allergies enjoy an evening at the ballpark. We hope that this event continues to bring awareness to the severity of food allergies, which affect an estimated one in 13 U.S. children."

More than 12 million Americans have food allergies, the most common cause of anaphylaxis.
